Drive:

From Tucson, take Interstate 19 south, past Tubac and Rio Rico, and exit onto Arizona 289. Follow Arizona 289 west about 10 miles to the lake.

When:

The lake is open year-round, but be aware that the site's 4,000-foot altitude means you could encounter cool or even cold weather during the winter months.

Cost:

Entrance to the lake and its facilities is free. Camping at the White Rock Campground costs $5 per night per vehicle. There's a stay limit of 14 days for campers.
