The final month of 2022 offers some of the most anticipated games of the year. Check them out.

Need for Speed Unbound

The latest in the Need for Speed franchise offers racing, car customization and anime influenced visuals that separate it from other racing games. Need for Speed Unbound arrives December 2 on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

Marvel’s Midnight Sun

Looking for a tactical RPG based in the Marvel universe? Midnight Sun fills that void. Control your favorite Marvel characters as you try and stop the mother of demons. Marvel’s Midnight Sun is available December 2 on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

The Callisto Protocol

This survival horror game from one of the creators of Dead Space is one of the most anticipated games of the year. You are serving time in a maximum security prison on Jupiter’s moon Callisto. When inmates begin turning into monsters, you need to do whatever it takes to survive. Available December 2 on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

Dwarf Fortress

Dwarf Fortress has been around for over a decade, using text-based graphics to create a procedurally generated world. The revised version released on December 6 offers something completely new for the game: actual graphics! Enjoy watching civilizations rise and crumble in this roguelike game. Available on PC.

Hello Neighbor 2

Learn more about your creepy neighbors in this family friendly horror game. What secrets are hiding within your neighborhood? Available December 6 on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

Ixion

You are the administrator of a space station trying to find a new home for humanity. Combines elements of exploration, city building and survival. Ixion is available December 7 on PC.

Dragon Quest Treasures

You spend your day dreaming of treasure, until one day you are magically whisked into a world filled with adventure and riches in the latest entry in the Dragon Quest saga. Available for Nintendo Switch on December 9.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion

A high definition remake, Crisis Core is a prequel to Final Fantasy VII. Play as SOLDIER agent Zack Flair and learn more about the world of Final Fantasy VII. Available December 13 on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC.

High on Life

Earth is being invaded by aliens and humans are being harvested as drugs. Use a crew of talking guns to try and save humanity. A game from the co-creator of Rick & Morty, the art style and humor is familiar to those who watch the show. Available December 13 on Xbox and PC.

The Crackpet Show

Running Man meets farmland. In The Crackpet Show, you play as mutated animals on a reality television show. Become famous and thrill the audience, even when you die. The Crackpet Show airs December 16, and is available on PC and Switch.

Sports Story

The anticipated sequel to the RPG Golf Story does not yet have a release date, but Nintendo’s page says it will drop in December. If you enjoyed Golf Story, this might be worth adding to your wish list.
