Melania Trump, high fashion and shoes

  • Aug 30, 2017
  • Aug 30, 2017 Updated Oct 4, 2017

We used to joke about Imelda Marcos and her shoes. Now we have Melania Trump and her high fashion. She was criticized for the designer pumps she wore when leaving with the president to view the devastation in Texas after Hurricane Harvey, but in later photos while in Texas, she was seen wearing athletic shoes.

Trump wore a steady wardrobe of mostly black during President Donald Trump's overseas tour, including a prim black lace dress with a matching mantilla headcover that she wore to meet Pope Francis and a dark jacket with golden detailing on the cuff and collar that she wore for her arrival in Italy, both by Milan designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
