The story wasn't local — it didn't even happen in the United States — but the thought of children telling someone that ants were carrying sparkling stones is jut too good to let go.

Termites Of Tel Aviv Find Hidden Treasure
TEL AVIV (AP) — Police recovered stolen diamonds worth $36,000 here after children found a colony of ants building an ant hill “carrying little sparkling stones.”
The gems were hidden in a hole in a wall.
