A lanai stretches across the full front of the Duggan home. White canvas outside curtains shield the lanai from the sun, or may be opened to reveal a marvelous view of the gardens. Deep grayed plum walls contrast with white woodwork, cherry-printed chintz and white leather covered furniture. Interesting Chinese screen tops Tambour desk. A profusion of plants and flowers in the lanai give the room an indoor-outdoor effect.

A view of the living room from Mrs. Duggan's semi-circular dining room. Grigory Gluckman paintings. Bristol candelabra and worlds of green plants add zest to the high-ceilinged room. Walls are most interesting shade of light gray; Chintz is blue and white.

White guest room has immense charm. The bed, a Confederate soldier's camp bed (they were made in France) is covered in soft supple white leather. The Old English Screen is of white silk panels painted in blue.
