Pima County Sheriff's detectives arrested Raymond Valencia Oct. 16, in connection with a double homicide the day before.
Valencia, 49, was booked into jail on two counts of first-degree murder, said Deputy Cody Gress, a sheriff's department spokesman.
Deputies found Carlos Rendon, 48, and Jackelyne Padilla, 18, dead inside a residence on the 5800 block of South Swinging A, off of South Camino Verde around 7 p.m. Saturday. They died from apparent gunshot wounds.
Valencia was identified by witnesses as a suspect in the case, said Gress.
