Photos: The upper floors of the Buffalo Central Terminal

A new phase of Central Terminal Restoration Corp.'s plan to repair and renovate the Buffalo Central Terminal is underway.

This phase, technically the second, will focus on restoring partial use of the passenger concourse, expanding the use of the exterior plaza and lawn, and preparing the entire site for the larger planned redevelopment in the future, supported by more than $33 million in state funds.

A Buffalo News photojournalist documented many of the upper floors of the terminal, which will eventually be restored in other, future phases of the Restoration Corp.'s work.
