Desert American Builders, 1360 N. Houghton Road, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The filing, which does not yet include a list of creditors, shows that the builder has both assets and liabilities ranging between $1 million and $10 million.
Filings with the Arizona Corporation Commission show that the company was started in 1999.
Efforts to reach Desert American Builders for comment were unsuccessful.
