LAKE HAVASU CITY — A young couple and their toddler daughter were found shot to death in their home in what police described as an apparent murder-suicide.
Officers checking on the man after he failed to show up for work Thursday discovered the three dead inside their apartment, Lake Havasu City police Lt. Rich Sloma said.
The man had apparently shot the woman and child Wednesday evening, then turned the gun on himself, Sloma said.
The dead were identified as Jay Vaetoe Tuimauga, 22, his girlfriend, Summer Pettit, 21, and the couple's 15-month-old daughter.
Sloma said the family members told police the couple had been having relationship problems. The investigaton was continuing.
