A vehicle slammed into the east range gate at Fort Huachuca after a car chase early Tuesday, according to a briefing from the Sierra Vista Police Department.
Four suspected illegal entrants were turned over to Border Patrol after the pursuit, the briefing says.
The pursuit began with an attempted traffic stop on state route 92 near Snyder Boulevard at 3:56 a.m. The vehicle fled north and then turned right, crashing into the gate at Fort Huachuca.
Two suspects jumped the fence and entered the fort, while four passengers in the vehicle — all suspected illegal entrants — were turned over to Border Patrol.
Information about whether the two who jumped the fence were caught was not immediately available, nor was any information about damage to the gate or injuries.
