Police officers of the Tohono O'odham Nation responded to a shooting Monday morning involving a Border Patrol agent and three members of the nation.
The incident occurred at about 12:30 a.m., according to a tribal news release.
The FBI is the lead agency investigating the shooting.
FBI Special Agent Perryn Collier, who is based in Phoenix, said Monday night that he could not provide details about the incident.
Collier said he expected to release information Tuesday.Â
