YUMA — A Yuma man is jailed in Yavapai County, accused of using the Internet to meet an underage girl for sex.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office’s arrested 55-year-old David Gardner Aug. 29. Detectives had posed online as an underage girl when they made contact with Gardner.
Deputies set up the sting so that Gardner would meet the girl at a Yavapai County park. When he arrived, deputies arrested him.
Gardner faces three counts of luring a minor for sexual exploitation. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
Authorities said additional charges are likely.
