University of Arizona leaders announced Monday that the graduation speaker will be NBC's White House correspondent Savannah Guthrie.
Guthrie grew up in Tucson and got her start in journalism as an anchor and reporter for KVOA in the '90s. She is an alum of Amphitheater High School and the UA, and she has a law degree from Georgetown University.
She and her team won an Emmy for their coverage of election night in 2008, according to her NBC bio.
