Three men were arrested in Nogales early Saturday after they were connected to a shooting that left a man with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Cory Vindiola, David Vindiola and Xavier Fierros are facing attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault charges after they were suspected of shooting Omar Leon in the face, a Nogales Police Department press release says.
Nogales police received a 911 call just before 5 a.m. in reference to a report of a shot being fired near Baffert Drive and Santo Patron.
Police arrived and found Leon in the road bleeding.
Additional police units stopped a vehicle in the area and arrested the three suspects.
Leon was taken to University Medical Center and treated for his injuries.
