A Desert View High School teacher was arrested Wednesday on charges of inappropriate contact with a minor.
Marco Bravo was arrested and released in the field for misdemeanor assault of a student who was 18-years-old, said Tucson Police spokeswoman Sergeant Kimberly Bay.
Bravo, who has been a digital photography teacher and yearbook advisor at Desert View since 2006, was hired at the Sunnyside Unified School District in 2002. Before teaching at Desert View, he taught at Apollo Middle School, according to Mary Veres, the district spokeswoman.
The district is investigating the matter, she said.
He has been put on home assignment since the arrest and would not be returning to Desert View for the last day of school for teachers, which is Friday, she said.
