Foothills Mall is offering free Wi-Fi service in its food court area.
The mall, at 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd., is providing the service in partnership with Tucson-based Simply Bits LLC, a major wireless provider of network services in Southern Arizona.
No password is needed, and the mall allows connection times of up to four hours.
Regina Harmon, general manager of Foothills Mall, said the aim is to make it easier for shoppers to keep in touch via social media.
Simply Bits also provides free Wi-Fi at Park Place, where some 200 people sign on each day, the company said.
