Tucson U.S. Marshals arrested a Texas man Friday who's accused of holding a woman captive for two days and sexually assaulting her, authorities said.
27-year-old John Henry Pelser was arrested at a family member's home in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and North Greasewood Road, said Deputy U.S. Marshal Nathan Alexander, a Marshals Service spokesman.
Pelser, a convicted sex offender, was wanted out of Dallas County for an aggravated sexual assault that occurred last week in Irving, after which he immediately fled the area, Alexander said.
After his arrest, Pelser was booked into the Pima County jail pending his extradition to Texas. He's also facing charges in Pima County for failing to register as a sex offender and failing to obtain identification as a sex offender.
