Pima County Superior Court officials have issued a warning about a possible juror scam.Â
Court officials have had reports of county residents receiving phone calls warning them of missing jury duty.Â
The callers claim to be with the Pima County Sheriff's Department and say a warrant was issued for the person's arrest for missing jury duty.Â
The callers then offer to settle the warrant and supposed missed jury duty in exchange for payment.Â
In a news release, court officials said law enforcement doesn't contact people for missed jury duty. If a potential juror fails to report for duty they will be sent a notice in the mail from the Pima County Jury Commissioner's Office with instructions on where and when they need to report for jury duty.Â
Court officials request that anyone contacted over the phone about missed jury duty report the incident to the jury office at 724-4222 and to Tucson Police at 791-4444.Â
