YouTube celebrates its eighth birthday today as the first video uploaded to the site happened on April 24, 2005. It was a beta test video titled "Me at the zoo" and featured YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim talking for 20 seconds about elephants.
Now with millions of unique visits a day on YouTube and billions of page views, it's hard to picture a time without cat videos on demand, flash mobs invading public places and double rainbows going all the way.
