Attorney General Eric Holder has criticized Arizona's new immigration law. He plans to read it soon.
Holder grabbed headlines a few days ago when he said his Justice Department was considering suing Arizona to stop implementation of SB 1070.
The law has several provisions to crack down on illegal immigration at the state level.
In testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday, however, he admitted he hadn't yet read the law, which is only 10 pages long.
U.S. Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, offered to give Holder his copy of the law.
