The Pima County Joint Technical Education District was awarded $20,000 for technology.
The funding from the Arizona Department of Education was made available through the 21st Century Community Learning Center Afterschool Technology NOW Enhancement.
JTED plans to incorporate additional technology, possibly iPads, to mirror technology students will be required to use in industry, said district Superintendent/CEO Alan L. Storm.
The funding supports the national ConnectED Initiative announced by President Obama on June 6, 2013.
