Canyon del Oro’s Academic Decathlon team brought home the top score at the Region Three Academic Decathlon Competition earlier this month.
The win is the school's 13th consecutive regional title.
The students won a total of 60 individual medals and thousands of dollars in scholarships while competing against students from Pima, Pinal, Cochise, Santa Cruz and Yuma Counties.
Students compete in 10 areas: art, economics, essay, interview, language and literature, mathematics, music, science, social science and speech.
The team is now preparing for the State Tournament in Glendale to be at Arizona State University West on March 7-8.
