A new music video features lots of local kids facing illness with hope, singing and smiles.
The video is from the 2015 "I Think I Can" gala fundraiser for sick children in Southern Arizona. In addition to young patients, others featured include doctors, nurses, medical staff, researchers from the UA Steele Children’s Research Center and Banner Children’s at Diamond Children’s Medical Center. The University of Arizona cheerleaders make some appearances, too.
Hospital officials dedicated the video to patient Kelsey Taylor Luria, who appears in it several times, including one appearance singing with her mom, Maya Luria. Kelsey died of complications from acute myeloid leukemia after the video was made. She was 18.
