Project Appleseed, a national nonprofit that teaches rifle marksmanship and history, is coming to Marana at the Marana Shooting Club, 11900 N. Sanders Road on Oct. 13 and 14.
The clinic teaches rifle fundamentals, including safety, handling and shooting, as well as rifle history that dates to the Revolutionary War.
Pre-registration is $70 for men, $10 for women and $5 for those under age 21. It's free for active duty military members, law enforcement officials, elected officials and those with disabilities. Registrants will also have to pay a $7 range fee and must bring their own rifles and ammunition.
