If you've ever wanted to see a medical robot in action, here's your chance.
The Oro Valley Hospital is hosting an open house to show off its new robotic technology for partial knee resurfacing procedures, according to a press release from the hospital.
No other hospital or medical facility in Southern Arizona has the technology, the hospital said. It's used on people who have knee pain as a result of early to mid-stage osteoarthritis, according to the hospital, and is done by a surgeon-controlled robotic arm.
The open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the lobby of the hospital, 1551 E. Tangerine Road.
