The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards awarded Marana Middle School physical education teacher Amy Corner national certification in Physical Education/Early Adolescence through Young Adulthood.
Corner, who has worked in the District for 14 years, was recognized at a February Marana Unified School District governing board meeting.
National Board Certification is a rigorous, peer-reviewed process that ensures that Board-certified teachers have proven skills to advance student achievement.
MUSD has nine Nationally Board Certified teachers in the district.
