Several local teachers benefitted from OfficeMax's seventh annual "A Day Made Better" campaign Oct. 1.
The program awards more than $1,000 in classroom goods to more than 1,000 teachers nationwide.
Twin Peaks Elementary teacher Kendra Lewis, Walter Douglas Elementary's Whitney Weigold, La Cima Middle School's Diane Schlieder and Amphitheater Middle School's Michael Powers all received prizes.
Since its inception, OfficeMax and its nonprofit partner AdoptAClassroom.org have surprised more than 6,700 teachers and donated $8.85 million in school supplies to classrooms across the country.
