The Oro Valley Police Department is offering a class geared to train women to defend themselves from sexual assaults. In the Rape Aggression Defense class, officers will teach women to recognize and avoid dangerous situations, as well as execute defensive fighting moves.
The class, which will take place at Casas Adobes Church, 10802 N. La Cholla Blvd. — at 6 p.m. Sept. 11, 18 and 25 — is capped at 20 students. To secure a spot, contact Sgt. Amy Graham at 229-5081 or agraham@orovalleyaz.gov.
