A man was struck and killed Tuesday night after being hit by a taxi as he crossed a street on the Tucson's north side, police said in a news release.
Jose A. Pichardo, 43, was crossing south on West Prince Road just east of North Fairview Avenue about 9:30 p.m. when he was stuck by a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria cab headed east on Prince, Sgt. Chris Widmer said in the news release.
Pichardo, who was not in a crosswalk, died at the hospital shortly after the collision.
The investigation continues.
