A Tucson Unified School District bus was engulfed in flames Tuesday on a bridge downtown.
No one was injured in the 5:25 p.m. incident near South Toole Avenue and East 12th Street, said Capt. Barrett Baker, a Tucson Fire Department spokesman.
Multiple 911 callers reported the fire.
No children were on the bus, and the bus driver got out of the bus safely, Baker said.
A crew of four firefighters put the blaze out. Fire investigators were on scene to investigate the cause of the fire. No damage estimate was released.
No further information was immediately available.
