Border officers in Nogales say a woman was arrested this week when five pounds of heroin was found stuffed in her underwear.
Cristina Luna-Ramos, a 38-year-old woman from Mexico, was driving through the Nogales Port of Entry Wednesday when U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers pulled her Oldsmobile sedan over for a secondary inspection, an agency news release said.
Officers discovered two packages of heroin in Luna’s bra and two more in her "groin area," the release said.
The drugs had an estimated value of more than $67,000.
The car was seized and Luna was referred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations, the release said.
