Goodyear police say a man is accused of fatally stabbing his wife after she confronted him about slapping one of their kids for playing video games.
The couple's seven children were in the family home Thursday evening when the mother was killed, police say. A 14-year-old daughter witnessed the stabbing and called 911. The husband also called 911, reportedly saying he'd lost his mind and stabbed his wife.
A court document identified the husband as 37-year-old John Leo Davis and the wife as Michele Davis. Police said she was 35.
The husband was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and jailed in lieu of $2 million bond. He didn't have a lawyer when he appeared before a judge.
Police said none of the children were hurt.
