Federal agents found 300 pounds of marijuana hidden in a case of ceramic tile last week, officials said.
A legal Arizona resident from Mexico tried to enter the United States through a Douglas port Friday and where his pickup truck was referred for a secondary inspection, a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.
During the more detailed inspection agents found that the 63-year-old man had 28 packages of marijuana hidden in boxes of hollowed-out ceramic tile, the release said.
The man was taken into custody, and the drugs and vehicle were seized by federal agents, according to the release.
