The robber entered the store at about 3 p.m. and pushed a female customer out of the way. At the counter, he pointed a pistol at the cashier and demanded money, according to a news release from the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
The money was placed in a black backpack and the robber left the store. He fled in a late-model SUV, the release said.
The robber was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with "ECKO" printed on the front, dark jeans, white tennis shoes and sun glasses. He is about 5-feet 8-inches tall with a slim build.
