Border Patrol agents at the Interstate 19 checkpoint seized $47,000 worth of heroin and $28,000 worth of meth hidden on a male driver and his female passenger on Feb. 11.
The man had 27 packages of meth and five package of heroin strapped to his waist and legs, according to a news release from Customs and Border Protection.
The woman had two package of heroin strapped to her abdomen.
On Thursday, agents at the checkpoint found a woman on a shuttle van who had three package of heroin worth about $49,000, the CBP said.
The three people were arrested and the drugs were seized.
In an unrelated bust, Border Patrol agents seized about 2,600 pounds of marijuana worth about $1.3 million hidden in two trucks abandoned in a wash near Gila Bend on Feb. 7.
