A Douglas teen faces drug charges after U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers say they found his bicycle tires filled with marijuana.
The 17-year-old was taken into custody Saturday at the Douglas border crossing, a news release said.
The more than three pounds of pot was stuffed into the bike tire like a rubber tube. It had an estimated street value of nearly $1,600.
Officers seized the drugs and bicycle. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations took custody of the teen, the release said.
