Crews from Tucson fire pulled a naked man from a wash near Mission Road and Starr Pass Boulevard, Monday morning.
The 911 call initially came in as a swift water rescue, but when crews arrived they found the man just sitting in the water, said Capt. Barrett Baker, a Tucson fire spokesman.
"He wouldn't voluntarily get out of the water," Baker said.
Crews eventually got the man out of the wash and he was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
