The gap between Republican Martha McSally and Democrat Ron Barber in the closely-contested Congressional District 2 race shrank to 341 votes Sunday night.
An additional batch of 3,355 early ballots in Pima County were tabulated on Sunday afternoon, closing the gap between Barber and McSally. The county updated the numbers Sunday evening despite saying Saturday new totals would not be posted until Monday.
On Friday night, the retired Air Force colonel had a 509-vote lead over the Democratic incumbent.
It is expected the Pima County Elections Department will start counting 9,335 provisional ballots on Monday.
