Omar Yussuf, 16, from Kenya becomes a United States citizen as he takes the oath during a Youth Citizenship Ceremony which was part of the third annual World Refugee Celebration at Catalina High School, 3645 E Pima St. The Tucson Unified School District and members of the community came together at the school's auditorium to celebrate refugee volunteers and children with dance and presentations.

Twenty children from eight to 18 years, were sworn in as new United States citizens as part of the third annual World Refugee Celebration at Catalina High School. The new citizens came from six different countries: Iraq, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kenya, Nepal, and Senegal.
