Tough Guy Endurance Race

  • Jan 26, 2014
  • Jan 26, 2014 Updated Jan 26, 2014

Britain does mud well, and the Tough Guy Endurance Race takes maximum advantage of it. Sunday's one-day survival ordeal was in Perton, Staffordshire, and put competitors through a one-day ordeal of mud, obstacles, smoke and more mud, plus some barbed wire. The race has been run since 1987.

Tough Guy claims to be the world's most demanding one-day survival ordeal. First staged in 1987, the Tough Guy Challenge has been widely described as one of the hardest races of it's type with up to one-third of the starters failing to finish in a typical year.
