The boy, 2, asked his grandfather, "Are mommy and daddy coming soon?"
"I can't say those words out loud with a smile on my face, I just can't," she said, adding that the decision is her "small contribution to protesting."
Two families filed notices of potential legal action against the school system over trauma they say the shooting inflicted on their children.
