A motorist was airlifted to a Tucson hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision at the intersection of Highway 92 and Buffalo Soldier Trail this morning.
On Tuesday, July 28, at about 10:40 a.m., Sierra Vista police and fire and medical services personnel responded to an injury collision at the intersection of Highway 92 and Buffalo Soldier Trail.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a white Chevrolet pickup truck was turning left from northbound Highway 92 onto Buffalo Soldier Trail when the driver ran a red light and collided with a tow truck traveling southbound on Highway 92.
The pickup truck driver was airlifted to a Tucson hospital with life-threatening injuries. The tow truck driver was evaluated at the scene and did not require hospital transport.
