10 Tucson restaurants that are open on Christmas Day

If you don't celebrate, or just aren't in the mood to cook on Christmas Day, a handful of local restaurants will be open for the holiday.

For some, reservations are recommended or required, so be sure to call ahead. Prices may not include taxes or gratuity. 

PY Steakhouse — 5655 W. Valencia Rd.

San Xavier Mission day trip, Casino del Sol

The Berry Bae at PY Steakhouse bar was a fruity rum drink with blackberry and wild strawberry liqueurs, $10.

Although the restaurant will be closed on Christmas Eve, it'll be open from 3 to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day.

Regular menu service will be available, in addition to a couple specials — prime rib roast ($42) and house-cured ham ($36).

Festa International Buffet — 5655 W. Valencia Rd.

Also at Casino Del Sol, Festa will be open on Christmas Day. 

A selection of holiday items will be available for $38 per person, such as roasted turkey and chilled seafood. 

The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. See more information here.

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum — 2021 N. Kinney Rd.

The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum will be hosting a holiday buffet with seating times at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Christmas Day.

The buffet is priced at $59.95 for adults, $24.95 for children ages 10 and under. Museum members are able to get a 10 percent discount.

Cup Cafe — 311 E. Congress St.

The Cup Cafe's baked eggs at Hotel Congress

These are the baked eggs from Hotel Congress' Cup Cafe.

Cup Cafe at Hotel Congress will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day. They will close from 3 to 4 p.m.

The regular menu will be served in addition to holiday specials, which include a rack of lamb, sea bass and slow-roasted New York strip from 4 to 8 p.m.

Brunch specials run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Piazza Gavi Italian Restaurant — 5415 N. Kolb Rd.

The Italian spot will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas Day. 

The regular menu will be available.

Hilton El Conquistador — 10000 N. Oracle Rd.

The resort will offer a holiday buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Christmas Day. 

The $55 buffet is set to include a carving station, chicken breast and halibut, among others. The buffet costs $22 for children ages 6 to 12.

Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort — 5501 N. Hacienda Del Sol Rd.

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Christmas Day, Hacienda Del Sol will run a holiday buffet. 

The buffet costs $68 for adults and $25 for kids ages 7 to 12. Items include roast turkey, prime rib, tamales, seafood and more.

Govinda's Natural Foods Buffet — 711 E. Blacklidge Dr.

The restaurant will be open from 12 to 7 p.m. on Christmas Day with a vegan holiday menu. The buffet costs $16.95 for adults, $7.95 for kids ages 4 to 12.

Azul Restaurant and Lounge — 3800 E. Sunrise Dr.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Day, Azul at Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa will serve a holiday buffet priced at $56.95 for adults, $24.95 for children ages 6 to 12.

The buffet is set to include oyster shooters, holiday ham, smoked salmon, prime rib and more. See the full menu here.

Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain — 15000 N. Secret Springs Dr.

CORE Kitchen & Wine Bar, in addition to Cayton's Burger Bistro, will offer Christmas dinner. 

Dinner at CORE is from 5:30 to 9 p.m. with an a la carte menu.

Dinner at Cayton's will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Holiday specials will be available in addition to the regular menu.
