An unusual item will be on the blocks at Tuesday's action at the University of Arizona — a dune buggy shaped like a giant football helmet.
The item is a piece of Arizona Football history. Legend has it that it was used by Coach Larry Smith to drive him on and off the field, auction staff said. Since then, the buggy has spent many years in storage.
The UA is hoping to get at least $1,500 for the little vehicle, but there's no minimum bid.
Other items going on the auction block include computers, TVs and bicycles.
The auction begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and bid are accepted in person or online. (Auction details are online.)
