Seventy-two students at SUNY Fredonia have active cases of Covid-19 as of Wednesday, according to the school website's dashboard tracking infections.
There are 11 students in isolation on campus and another 61 in isolation who live off campus. It wasn't immediately clear how many of the active cases are considered "on campus" cases.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo warned Tuesday about outbreaks on college campuses, mentioning the University at Buffalo and SUNY Fredonia among them at a news briefing. Cuomo said that colleges are required to notify the state when they have 100 Covid-19 cases, and "could" have to transition to remote learning.
