The fire that destroyed the historic main lodge at Greer Lodge Resort & Cabins last month was arson, federal investigators say.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible, officials with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said.
The May 10 blaze destroyed the main lodge and a restaurant at the resort, about 220 miles northeast of Phoenix.
The ATF is jointly investigated the fire with the Greer Fire Department and the Apache County Sheriff's Department, the Arizona Republic said. The fire damage is estimated at more than $2 million.
The Greer Lodge Resort was originally built in 1948 and was in the midst of an extensive refurbishing project at the time of the fire.
