A Tucson man sustained non-life-threatening injuries after police said he accidentally shot himself following a dispute Sunday afternoon.
The man, whom Tucson police did not identify, was treated at a local hospital and may face aggravated assault charges, said Officer Dallas Wilson, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
The incident began about 1:20 p.m. Sunday when the 30-year-old man got into an argument with at least two people in the 3200 block of East Bellevue Street. Police said he fired a round, but it did not hit anyone.
The man then fled behind a shopping center near East Speedway and North Country Club Road, where he shot himself, Wilson said. He was arrested a short time later.
