Tucson.com, the largest news website in Southern Arizona, unveils a bold makeover across its digital platforms on Thursday. It's our 10th makeover since 1995, when we were one of the first newspapers to launch its own website.
This new digital format from the Arizona Daily Star features more photos, bigger headlines and better interactivity. The clean look offers a more visually appealing experience.
Whether you prefer to read Tucson.com on your desktop, laptop, tablet or phone, our new design gives you an optimal viewing experience tailored to your digital device of choice.
The streamlined design strips out some of the navigation bars and links for the sake of simplicity.
If you can’t find something on a page, check the slide-out menu consisting of three horizontal lines (sometimes called the “hamburger menu”) on the top left corner of each page. Links to sections and services can be found there.
You also can find a specific topic or article by using the search bar on the upper right corner.
If you haven’t already done so, now would be a good time to activate your Tucson.com digital subscription account.
It’s part of your subscription package and entitles you to all of our digital products and services and the daily e-newspaper, which received its own makeover last week. Our e-edition replicates the experience of the printed newspaper, seven days a week and offers subscribers exclusive digital access to the Star's print pages back to 2007.
There are some features that we could not test ahead of time. We appreciate your patience as we work through that testing and polish these last changes. We're also missing an icon to allow you to print. That's on our list and should be working by the end of the month. For now, use your browser's menu to print.
As always, we are interested in your feedback. Feel free to contact us with comments or questions at eds@tucson.com
We'd also like to thank our redesign team – Andi Berlin, Bill Betterton, Johanna Eubank, Julie Goksel, Thomas Hrusta, Sean Kasun, John Kerr, Heather Locke, Drew McCullough, Irene McKisson, Samantha Munsey, Nick Murray, Christian Ramirez, Ashley Ray, Rob Wisner and Kim Wyckoff — for their creative thinking, their good ideas and their good humor during this redesign.
