Two baby capybaras are the newest addition to a Marana appointment-only petting zoo, Ghost Ranch Exotics.
The two-week-old capybaras join an assortment of unusual neighbors like a warthog and porcupines living there along with more domestic critters like chickens, goats and a donkey.
Capybaras cool off in a plastic pool Thursday at Marana’s Ghost Ranch Exotics.
There’s also some newborn capybaras that will be added to the small herd already there.
The zoo plans to keep the female capybaras and one male. The others will be placed in acceptable zoos.

Cassidy Rosling holds a two-week-old capybara, weighing about eight pounds, Thursday at Marana’s Ghost Ranch Exotics.
