Monday's high temp breaks daily record in Tucson

An excessive heat warning will be in place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with expected temperatures reaching 104 degrees this afternoon.

Month finished tied for 3rd hottest July on record, and tied for 3rd hottest month on record in Tucson.

July brought in about an inch of rain as of Wednesday afternoon, which is low compared to its normal 2.25 inches.

Tucson should get plenty of cloud cover Tuesday while keeping temperatures cooler than the record-breaking heat experienced Monday afternoon.
